Don’t go overseas and get lost in translation
Technology makes it easy to have a global reach. But do your research first.
In February, after five years of development, Ewan launched Wefarm, a service for small-scale farmers in Peru, Kenya and Tanzania who can share tips and ask questions via text messages. Farmers send a free text to Wefarm, which translates it online and sends it out to all users, who respond at no cost. A farmer with a query will get a reply within 15 minutes.
